Dramma, and the Sound of my Life.
Ok Kids....
So Kenny, our bass player for the last SIX months has just pulled an "I don't WANNA," on the project. I'm hoping Barry, (our newly appointed drummer) hasn't done the same. So now, it's back down to just me, Ken, Deanna...and probably Dave. Yes, Dave (aka Frydice) will be taking the place of Kenny, due to the latest turn of events. Maybe things will change, I don't know...But after listening to the jam last night I have to say I am very satisfied with where we are now. We need to, as the first step of togetherness, really get down playing down the basic songs before we can really add a new swing on things. If we aren't really tight with the guitars, it will just through the drummer WAY off sync. We are finally getting there.
I am going to be taking a few clips from the video recording of last night and posting it on YouTube. I will most likely put up a player on one of my near future blog entries so you can hear the haps. My camera's card can only hold 1G so it cut out about halfway through the sesh, but we did get some good stuff down before that happened.
Also, an interest opportunity has just come to my attention in my local area. Several artists of the area have the chance to be featured on a compilation CD. They will also get spots in gigs, radio play, and possibly interviews to open the artist up to a wider range of people. There is a cost of $135 dollars (eek!)...But I may just try for anyway. If the artist's entry is turned down, they will receive a full refund. I'm still debating weather I not I will go for this, but I may be a good idea in the long run.
If any locals are interested click here to check it out.
I would also like to thank No Humble Violet for informing me of this opportunity. Your a cool cat man. Good luck on your entry, I am sure you will kick ass.
So that is all for now folks. Thank you for the read. I'll keep you updated on the latest whatevers.
Kate G.
