Hair, Henna, and Ani.

So after about a year and a half (give or take) of doing nothing to new to my look, I decided I was due for a bit of a change. I didn't want to go to dark, so I chose the lightest brown I could find. When I first rinsed the dye out, I was totally freaked out. For some reason it looked rather dingy, almost like a grayish purple. But after I used the conditioner that came in the package, you can see it really warmed up the tone.

My hair ended up being a bit lighter than the picture on the package, but that is probably because my hair is sort of light to begin with. Overall I am satisfied with the way it turned out. I'm glad I went for the two tone dye, it really adds a cool "dynamic" to the overall look.

Oh yes, by the way, my expression on the "before" picture is
meant to be silly...I can't remember why I used that picture for the before shot...Anyway, at least you see my hair color, that's the point.

I realize I haven't posted any photo's of my henna work yet, so here you go! the foot on the far right is my cousin Tosha, and the hand, and other foot belong to me.

Since this picture was taken, I learned that using medical tape to hold down the dried henna paste works quite well for sealing the henna in place.
My earlier designs ended up being a bit messy (as you can tell) because I didn't use a proper sealing method.

I have really taken a liking to doing henna tattoos, it's probably one of the most addicting things I have gotten into in a while.

Oh yes! One more thing! I am going to See Ani Difranco in Salt Lake this weekend! Whooo hoooo! I am very excited. This is something that I wouldn't miss for the world! I have been a fan of hers for quite some time. I am ubber stoaked.

Man...well that was a really ADD-style blog entry! I hope you enjoyed!
Peace Out\\//
