The Day After

So, yesterday was the day of the concert. Jocelyn, Malissa and I were more ready than we had ever been. Constantly we would talk about it at school, over the net, and the phone. This could have very well been one of the most important things to us, up to this point in our lives. The car ride over there was full of shifting in our seats, little squeals of joy, and laughter. We couldn't help it though, the excitment was only growing....so happy the three of us were. We were almost there.

We pulled up to the Electric Theatere and stormed out of the truck. It seemed as if the people lingering about the outside of theater (they had to be cause the doors hadn't opened yet) were nearly all dressed in black, Jocelyn described it as a "Sea of Black." Like the "pink sheep" I stood out with my new Hello Kitty T- shirt, even Jocie and Malissa had black shirts on, ha oh well, I usually find myslef being quite diferent from the rest anyway. I was proud to be in the minority.
The doors opened! You could hear the croud's sighs and screams of excitement. We filed in with stamps on our hands. The inside of the place is increadibly small, infact it used to be a movie theatere when I was but a wee tike, I veguely remember watching a move about Dracuala there...heh. anyway. The front interior's walls were covered in mirors, and it was a tad confusing getting around. After about three minutes we entered the left enterance to where the stage was located.

The three of us did our best to find a place closest to the front. The three of us stood behind an older man with thick glasses, a blue T-Shirt, and a huge camera, who was standing right infront of the stage, I suppose you could say we were in the 2nd row. So as we were waiting for the first band to come on, we all noticed some farmilliar faces from our school, joining the croud. And I must say, plenty of those faces were nice to see....REALLY NICE! In other words, there were plenty of good looking genes walking around.

The sound crew exited the stage and the first band was on. The name of the band was called "Broke," (hah, I bet it was because they really were litteraly)....and they really weren't much to look at, but they were something to fill the space I suppose. Their music wasn't anything to remember either (I can't even remember the tune of any of their songs)...The lead guitarist (who WAS good at playing the guitar...) really needed to buy a belt or something, because as he was playing and juming around, the plummer in him began to emererge through his busy lard. I kinda nodded my head to the music...but I just did it because I wanted to make the best of the time. But we all had smiles on our faces. We were just happy to be there.
So they only played about 5 or 6 songs then they exited. Heh, no one really moshed when they played. And to add to the whole thing, they only sold their CD's for 5 bucks (I wonder why...)

Next was the band "
Murrieta." The lead singer was really REALLY REALY hot. And when they first got on stage he held out his hand for people to grab it...and guess what??!! I got to touch his hand! It was really soft and.....soft......Anyway, I thought their music was really original for the most part. They had a keyboard that the lead guitarist would switch off and use while he had his guitar pic in his teeth, then he would switch back and play the guitar (I liked the uniqueness), and in the middle of another one the lead singer went into the back and played the simbles with the drummer- it sounded cool. After that display of talent, he threw the drumsticks he used out into the croud, but saddly...to far away for my reach. When Murrieta played, I was at the front, so the entire time I had a great veiw...and I swear, durring a few moments....I think he looked DIRECTLY at me. A yumcious group I would have to say.

Hudden River School was on next. Boy, they were increadibly talented. But saddly, I had a bad place in the croud :( Durring their first songs it was okay...but suddenly a buch of guys came out of nowhere and started pushing evryone infront of them forward. Causing me to be squashed, and leaned on like a mother F***er! They didn't even know how to properly mosh...how sad...There was this one guy...oh man....He was terrible! He was the one doing most of the dammage, he had on a plain white T-shirt, and he was tall (abnormally tall), with buzzed hair, and no eyebrows. He was unstoppable, if you found yourslef infront of him...you found yourslef no where else!!!! My god, that was a little irritating. But durring that band, the croud started to get leaned on like domminos, so moving back and fourth, my spot was lost.....but since I was pushed so far to the right I crashed right into a hot guy from school (no names for security reasons....) That was good stuff though man....really good stuff :) Up to this point in the night the most moshing went on durring Huden River School. I tried to jump up and down, but I always found myself pushed up against some random person. Holy crap....they were a really good band, Infact, I think they played the most songs out of all of them. I just coudn't pay attention to well because of all of the pinning suffication going on. 0_0 Malissa and Jocie luckily got behind all of those losers after a while. All they did was laugh at me....heh heh, had I been them, I think I would have to.

So it was announced....My Chemical Romance was on next...I pushed, fought, nudged, and squeased to get up closer in the croud. It worked...The lights were dimmed, and the room was silent. I could sense the room building up, this was going to rock! I took out the disposible cameral in my bag.....THEY RAN ON STAGE! I reached out my hand to touch the lead singer when he came close to the croud..but I couldn't reach far enough! However I took several photographs of him when I was close up there. The croud was hot and sweaty, So the lead singer did the deed of pouring a water bottle on the audience. I opened my mouth and managed to get a few drops. God I was thirsty!!!

I decided I would move over to the left to get some pictures of the main guitarist, he was really hot! No. That is an understatement!!! His hottness overpowered the lead singer to Murrieta times two! I clicked a bunch of those, only to once again find myslef pushed to the back of the croud. Conveniently I ended up right next to Jocelyn...but unfortunetly we were right in the line of the speakers blast. It was so cool though! I moshed like crazy! And moshing isn't even allowed in the electric theater! Even the security guards came down and rocked out. It was so awesome.

One guy was rocking out so hard that he passed out. A security guard and a couple of guys carried him out to the back of the theater. I began to head bang, seeing that my hair is really long it was everywhere!, (After the concert Jocelyn told me that I kept wipping a girl behind me in the face, and she made hand signals to me behind my back to her friend.) Heh, I didn't care though (ha mainly because I didn't know) My head is still sore from all of the head banging that I did....not to mention the ringing in my ears, from the loud speaker I was next to. But I know it was all worth it, and the side effects will eventually pass. When MCR was done playing, everyone wanted them back on. So we cheered them on for an oncore. And they came...They came like mighty lords from above. They played a song they said they dedicated to a friend of theirs that had died a while back. It was actually the coolest song to Mosh to, because everybody did it. All was loud, and great. As they had walked on stage with such power, the left it with the same. I loved that band.

When we all got out of the main theater room, the first thing that flashed in our faces was one of the mirrored walls. That was a mispleasing sight to see (at least the way I looked) My hair had become increadibly poofy, and my face was red and sweaty. Not to mention my Hello Kitty shirt was drenched in sweat! I was so thirsty from all of the constant movement, moshing, headbanging, and danceing, that I had to get some water. I didn't know where the drinking fountain was. I felt like I was going to die.

The three of us stood in the merch line, which lucky for us, hadn't gotten to long or anything. Jocelyn bought a T-shirt (That says My Chemical Romance- thank you for the venom) and their CD, Malissa just bought a T-shirt (that says My chemical Romance- give em hell kids), and I bought a black wife beater tank top (that says My Chemical Romance- *with a picture of a cartoony devil thing holding a hart shaped gernade*- the devil has a place for you and me.) two stickers and a five pack of pins. After I had bought my things I noticed the bathroom to the right of the merch. I was so thirsty....I consitered drinking some of the sink water from the bathroom...then I consitered it a few more times. So (heh) I ended up doing it. Man...for bathroom sink water, I would have to say it was the most refreshing of it's kind I have ever had. Almost within the first few minutes of me comeing out of the bathroom Malissa said: "Lets get a drink from the drinking fountain." heh. to bad I was already full of bathroom sink water- I drank from it anyway.

Armed with our items we left the building and sat on some benches to a bank next door.
I was all sweaty and damp after the concert, cause there were plenty of crammed bodies in there. So when I came outside after the concert Jocie, Malissa and I had to wait for our ride. Well knowing my mom, it was going to take a while. So I figured I would change my shirt because it was kinda breezy outside, and I was begining to get cold.
So I thought about just doing it right where we were sitting, but to many cars kept going by. So I walked down into the ally next to the theature, and I saw a fenced in area around this dumpster. yay! I can change my shirt in there. I was in mid shirt take offage when all of a sudden I see this cop car pull up alongside this fence, Oh shit! hmmm I will just stand here...maybe he wont notice me.. The guy gets out of the car and walks up to the gate and flashes his flash light in my face.

Cop: "What are you doing over here?"

me: "I was going to change my shirt" (that probably sounded believable heh heh...)

Cop: "that's not the smartest idea you have had"

(I'm thinking) how the hell are you supposed to know what my ideas have been tonight??? are you psychic???

Cop:"how old are you?"

me: "fifteen"

Cop:"you need to be home in ten mintutes"

(thinking) yeah...I don't have a car and I am waitng for my ride, there isn't much I can do now, but change my damn shirt....so just go away!

Me: "well I just got out from the concert at the electric theature and I am waiting for my ride, I wanted to change my shirt."

Cop: "Well why are you in this Ally?"

Me "I was going to change my shirt..." (thinking) oh my god! I just told you that!!

Me "okay...I'll will go stand by my friends...."

Cop: "alright, you do that"

*he gets in his car and drives off*

Well, I only got colder and colder...and I really wanted to change into the shirt I had bought..So I went down some stairs behind the building behind us and went down a flight of stairs. Yes! My shirt is changed!!! No cops involved this time. I have come to a conclusion that Cops perfer it that you change your clothing in public so discusting old men, like themselves can look at you.

Well, to put it plain and simple- I had a great time, one of the greatest of my life.

Concert Eve

Ah, the sweet bliss. As the day is so close, I can only whelp tears of great awe. Indeed I wish for the concert to be living in my present...But I know the moment that joyous event comes to pass...It will only be a shadow of what once was....But....
Nay Katie, fret not. For you will leave the building, the oh so holy temple of musical pleasures, with memories that will always be present. And merchandise that will forever glisten in the sun with such radiant beauty, only the pope himself can gaze upon such a miraculous visual....But that will be in your belonging. More valuable than the treasures hiding within the deep vast hidden tombs of Egypt, more cherished and desired than the fountain of youth....My Chemical Romance, live in concert.

...Only time is dying in these hours of such excruciating happiness.
Today is concert eve....I celebrate to you, this is my light.
Can it truly be so perfect?

Concert!!!

Dude...On the 25 I am going to go to a concert at a place called the electric theater! http://www.theelectrictheater.com <- if you want to check it out, then go ahead. So with two of my friends (Malissa & Jocelyn) we are going to see My Chemical Romance, Hudson River School and Murrieta. All of which are supposed to be really good. I am SUPPER excited. The days are drawing nearer and nearer and my anxious anticipation only grows by the day.
I haven't yet decided what to wear, but I am planning on it being hella cool, because I want it to be a special night! I have been to The Electric Theater before, and I remember good things. The bands were all pretty good, and the croud was fun. And ofcorse, the music was so loud that I was a little hard of hearing for the rest of that night. Katie is happy. You should be too. :)

Homecoming Dance

Well, it all started with a simple "hello." In my math class there is a guy named Collin Hodges. He has a mohalk (which he can't spike up durring school hours so it is usually down) and he is the bass player in a band called The Last Impressions. Most of the time Collin wears black, and always, ALWAYS he will be seen a black jacket: leather, studded, buckled, or safety pinned, he will never part with a beloved jacket, even if it is 105 degrees outside.
He is a pretty nice guy, perhaps a bit misguided in some areas, but for the most part he knows how to be kind and sincere. So, being a goth/punk type of guy, I was interested in what kind of a person he was. He somehow seemed so distant from the world, like he didn't even want to be known at times.
So, in the first (or second...I'm not sure) week I said hi to him in the halls. This sparked something in him. Automatically he realized he could take an opportunity...."I'll make this girl like me!..I would love her as a girlfriend!" Only one day after, Collin gave me a note in my 5th period class. From then on I recieved a significant amount of them. Always within their folded contors contained passeges complementing the way I looked that day, or asking me how I was....this boy was flattering me up the WAHZOO! He wanted me to grow fond of him in a certain way....but I just couldn't find myself doing it.
So, the Homecomeing dance was comeing soon and everyone was conversing about getting a date. Every morning the announcements in over the innercom at school buzzed of "HURRY FAST! GET A DATE TODAY!" with all of this fuss, Collin moved in on it....he asked me to the Homecoming dance.
Though I was expecting on going with Tim Spendlove, the words just drew their way out of my pen, and the note released itself from my hand into his reading.

"Sure :)" (what a fool I am...)

I was in my room about a week later and the three of them knocked on my door. Colin, Gwyn, and Tyson stood in my doorway.
"Hey come watch movies with us." Gwyn asked for the shy little Colin.
"Um...okay, can I have a few minutes to get dressed?" I was a little embarressed as I stood there with no makeup, my hair a mess, and only dirty pajamas covering myself. Since Tyson's house is right next to mine, they all headed over there to wait for me. Looking kind of okayish, I walked nextdoor and nocked on the door. Tyson let me in and asked if I wanted any bean dip. I said my trade mark response for everything:

"sure :)"

Tyson stood behind his counter, "how much do you want?" I was a little unsure of how to word it at the time.

"um....Medium amount please."

He handed me the plate and to my surpise the freaking plate was not -MEDIUM AMOUNT- but -MONSTER AMOUNT- I dipped my chips into the dip as I watched the animated film "Wizzards" (very interesting one infact) and I didn't even eat half of that damn bean dip. Heh. it was good stuff though.
So after the movie we went into Tyson's room and listened to a recording of an irish transvestite comedian. Indeed that was funny stuff. But around 4:00 I had to head back to my house and get ready for the dance. Gywn came over and helped me curl my hair (which took longer than I had hoped) But I think it was all worth it, cause I looked halfway decent that night (haha yeah, like a fluffy princess...).
So, a fluffy princess (at least that's what I looked like that night) and a Goth/punk boy were off to the Dance. An unlikely pair, but hey, I am a nice girl.

I got home from the dance at about 12:30 A.M., and I have been awake ever since (it is now 3:11 A.M. ....hmmm I always look at the time when it is 3:11) The dance was pretty fun, I think. I got to see alot people I knew. And I ate some of the most delicious cream puff thingies! Oh god those things were good...Oh, we also spiked the punch! (dun dun dun!!!! *dramatic shocked music*) heh. though we didn't do it with alcohol. It was Mountain Dew.

Being the crazy person I am, I decided to do something out of the ordinary (which is an ordinary thing for me to do...) I carried around a stick called "the butt wacker" and I went around to people I either knew well, knew kinda, and didn't know at all, and wacked them with the buttwacker. When I did this my response was "I am the crazy buttwacker!"

I danced with Colin to 2 songs, I believe. Nothing super special went on there, but it was a nice time to carry out a conversation with him. I even danced with Wes, one of Colin's friends (who is now my friend...I think) They are really unique people and I enjoy having them around.
I actually danced to fast songs, in a kidding unserious manner ofcourse, but I still did it none the less! I danced with Gwyn (Colin's older sister) and Bethany, a good friend from school. To the fast dances we did a simple dance step called "The 80s skip" heh. I thought it was really fun, but I am asumming most watching us thought differenly the opposite, however that is the least of my worries :) We requested a bunch of songs over the dance period. Some of those songs where 99 red balloons, and The Thiriller. The actual Dance was held outside at the Lichfeild pond. We danced on an area of grass that was raised on a slope. The music was at a good volume setting (pretty loud, but quiet enough you could hear people talking) and round colored lights danced about the croud of people.

The dance began to die down, and the refreshment table was ready for the last minute pickers to have their fix. So I had my way with those cream puffs, and cookies. God, I seriously suggest you trying those man...who ever you are...eat em.
